Bridgehead is an Ottawa based coffee roasting and coffeehouse company working directly with small-scale organic farmers to serve the people of Ottawa delicious, fresh, organically grown coffees.
The coffee team at Bridgehead have been working together in the pursuit of quality coffee for almost 15 years. They were among the first Q Graders in Canada and have taken various leadership roles within the Canadian Barista Championship and World Barista Championship over the past decade. They leverage this depth of experience in their work with producers throughout Latin America and Africa to source, roast and brew exceptional organic coffees.

We are a community focused coffee shop and aim to offer a space for all with steaming cups of the good stuff. We’ve been roasting coffee in small batches in Ottawa for over 16 years. We receive our green beans from partners who source directly and responsibly from the farmer when possible. I Deal has become known for our dark roast coffee selection and we have garnered a following for our most popular selection - Princess of Darkness. Roasted very dark, this single origin Colombian bean is bold, smooth, rich in flavour without the bitterness often associated with darker roasts. We also offer a wide selection of medium/dark & medium coffees.

We love two things at The Artery Community Roasters, helping people living with disabilities find worthwhile employment, and freshly roasted speciality coffee. Our Mission is to employ people living with disabilities and pay them a living wage, inspire other business to hire people with disabilities and pay them, and their other employees, a living wage, roast ethically sourced specialty coffee with care, and get it to consumers within a week or less of roasting, limit our impact on the environment.
